World Cup 2010: Paul The Octopus predicts Spain beat Germany
According to an Associated Press report, the eight-legged football oracle known as Paul has predicted that Spain will defeat Germany in tomorrow's World Cup semi-final.
After carefully mulling his decision, Oberhausen's famous prophet chose to consume a mussel from a glass tank with a Spanish flag rather than one from a similar tank marked with a German flag.
Paul's decision may at first be devastating for Germany fans; the octopus has successfully predicted each of his country's results at the 2010 World Cup, and in his life, has been correct 80% of the time.
However, there remains hope for die Mannschaft: Paul once before made a mistake in predicting a Germany-Spain clash. At Euro 2008, the vizier chose Germany to beat Spain in the final, but in that competition, Spain prevailed.
